6 December: 1930

This is Erich Kästner’s “Elegie nach allen Seiten”, a poem from autumn 1930 about how leaves and reason are decaying, with the former being more likely to regrow in Spring.

Will try to translate it later..

(Oh, and happy St. Nicolas, you happy heathens! Santa used to arrive today, before he started drinking Coca Cola and became late and red.)
